Shale Gas Outrage Water Drive and the Freedom from Fracking III Conference Coming to Philadelphia on September 24 – 26!

Join us for Shale Gas Outrage September 24-26 in Center City Philadelphia. This year’s event will include a Water Drive and the Freedom from Fracking III Conference featuring our keynote speaker John Fenton!

Water Drive

What: We’ll be showing the gas industry conventioneers what some of the true costs of fracking entail – drinking water polluted by gas drilling that requires families throughout Pennsylvania to find water fit to drink.  This personal toll on the people living in the path of fracking will be graphically contrasted with the industry’s high-life convention style as friends and neighbors bring jugs of water and donations to buy water. After the 48-hour water drive, we will send off the water deliveries to people who have to buy replacement water because gas development has ruined their water supply.

Where:  Arch St. United Methodist Church (in plain view of the Pennsylvania Convention Center).

When: September 24 at noon until 10:30 on September 26

*The Water Drive is part of LOCAL STAND, a statewide campaign to bring clean drinking water to those who have lost theirs to the gas industry Visit bit.ly/localSTAND for more details.
